Wedding bells were ringing on Mount Olympus, home of the gods. The Groom was Thetis and the beautiful bride was Peleus. All of the gods were catered too, and having a ball except for Eris, the goddess not invited to the wedding. A Snow White story fell into place, and Eris decided to spice up the party. She tossed an apple reading "To the fairest" into the reception hall. The women threw a fit and insisted Zeus help them. Among those fighting were, Hera, Zeus' wife, and his children, Aphrodite and Athena or Athene. Zeus was so torn between his choice, he recruited Paris in his place.
The Three women had a fit yet again. They tried to sway Paris into picking them. Aphrodite, goddess of love promised the most beautiful woman in the world, but there was one slight problem. The most beautiful woman in the world was already taken. So the plan was made. Paris wanted the most beautiful woman, Helen.
Helen was already married to Menelaus of Sparta. Paris was outraged at this and planned to kill Menelaus. Menelaus then went on a trip, while he was away, the witch Aphrodite magically made Helen fall head over heels for the wonderful Paris. Paris kidnapped Helen and took her to Troy. The armies were called when Menelaus returned. He was panicked and angered to find his beautiful bride vanished. Menelaus then set sail for Troy to meet up with Odysseus.
